What an extraordinary year it’s been! As 2025 comes to a close and the festive season approaches, I want to take a moment to reflect and celebrate everything we’ve achieved together.
We welcomed more than 4,600 new members to the AANT family this year – a strong sign of sustainable growth.
That’s 4,600 more Territorians who chose AANT as their trusted partner on the road, who now enjoy peace of mind, real savings, and a team that genuinely has their back.
We’ve been out in the community more than ever - cheering louder than anyone at BASSINTHEGRASS, the Darwin Supercars, and the Darwin Comedy Festival, delivering our biggest-ever Street Smart High event, celebrating the legends at St John Ambulance, and continuing to fight for safer roads and fairer costs for every driver in the Territory.
We’ve also worked hard to make life easier for members through fuel discounts, road safety advocacy, and our exciting new AANT Centre partnership. A personal highlight for me has been seeing the 8c-per-litre fuel discount with United come to life. Hearing how it’s easing cost-of-living pressures for Territorians has been incredibly rewarding for our team.As we look ahead, we have no plans to slow down. 2026 is shaping up to be another monumental year for AANT.
Just over the weekend, some of our team were at the Berry Springs Christmas Markets, sharing the Blooms for Blokes campaign, which encourages Territorians to give a flower to the men they love and care about. Over the past decade, 283 men have lost their lives on Northern Territory roads—nearly two and a half times the number of women.
The simple gesture of giving out a flower helps spark important conversations about road safety and reminds us to show the men in our lives how much they matter.
This year, we’ve sadly lost 36 lives on our roads a sobering reminder that safety must always come first, especially during the busy festive season. If you’re out and about, please take care: Watch your speed, drive to the conditions, and if you plan on having a drink or two, make sure you have a plan for getting home safely.
Even the smallest actions can make a big difference. Let’s look after ourselves, our families, and our fellow Territorians so we can all enjoy a safe and joyful holiday season.
From all of us at AANT, thank you for being part of our community. Wishing you a joyful, safe, and laughter-filled Christmas and an amazing 2026!
