Connect With the Next Generation of Road Users
Street Smart High brings approximately 1,300-1,500 Year 10–12 students together for a day of real stories, practical learning and important conversations about making safer choices on and around our roads.
Since the program began in 2021, more than 7,500 NT students have attended Street Smart High.

During the lunch break, students have the opportunity to explore our interactive Expo, meet organisations and discover the services, support and opportunities available to them.
The Expo brings together organisations working across road safety, emergency services and services focused on keeping young people safe, giving students the chance to ask questions, take part in activities and learn more about what is on offer.
It is a great opportunity for your organisation to connect directly with young people, share what you do and help students know where to turn for information and support.
There are no exhibition fees for participating organisations.
Places are limited, so we encourage organisations to register their interest early to secure a place in our 2027 Expo.

Information for Exhibitors
- Stall Requirements
The Street Smart High Expo will be held during the lunch break in Hall 4 of the Darwin Convention Centre.
Each exhibitor will be provided with:
- 1 table
- 1 tablecloth
- 2 chairs
Please note:
- Posters and other materials must not be attached to the Convention Centre walls, including with Blu Tack.
- Stickers are not permitted at exhibitor stalls due to the risk of students placing them around the venue.
- We also recommend avoiding giveaways that students may be tempted to throw, such as balls or frisbees.
- Setup & Event Information
Parking
Parking is available in the Darwin Convention Centre's underground car park for $5 per day.
If you park in the underground car park you can access lift 3 (the middle lift in basement carpark), this will direct you toward the Convention Centre concourse area and head to Hall 4.Equipment Drop off: Wednesday 10th March
Exhibitors may drop off equipment on Wednesday, between 3pm and 4pm.
Access is available via Loading Zone Door 4 at the rear of the Convention Centre or through the front doors.
Please note: Equipment drop off is optional. Stall set up must take place on Thursday morning, the day of the event.
Event Day: Thursday 11th March
- Stalls must be set up, ready and staffed by 11:30am
- Darwin Convention Centre opens at 7am
- Exhibitors can enter via the main doors or the lift from the underground car park
- Schools will arrive between approximately 9:20am and 10am and will go directly to the auditorium
- The event will be live streamed in Meeting Room 3 (Teachers' Lounge)
Lunchtime Expo
The Expo will take place during the lunch break, approximately 12pm - 1pm. The program may run earlier than scheduled.
Pack Up
Pack up must be completed by 3pm on Event Day.
If you are able to pack up quickly, you may do so straight after the Expo closes at the end of the lunch break and leave the Convention Centre. However, you must have finished packing up by 1.45pm as schools will begin to exit the venue shortly after.
- Induction & Safety Requirements
Darwin Convention Centre Induction
All exhibitor staff are required to complete the Darwin Convention Centre Induction before the event via this link:

To complete the induction:
- Login if you have an existing account or select Register if you are a new user
- Select Exhibitors & Visitors
- Enter your details
- Make note of your username and password
- Complete the Induction task
You will receive a completion certification by email. You may be asked to show this at the event, so we recommend saving a copy or taking a photo of the certificate on your phone.
The induction takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Please ensure all staff have completed it before the event.
Work Health and Safety
Please prioritise safety when setting up and packing down your stall and follow the Darwin Convention Centre's requirements:
• Wear enclosed shoes during setup and pack-up
• All cords must be covered or positioned safely to minimise trip hazards.
• If you bring an extension cord or power board, ensure all electrical equipment is WHS compliant.
• All electrical equipment must have current testing and tagging.- Login if you have an existing account or select Register if you are a new user
- Food & Drinks
Catering is not provided for exhibitors.
You are welcome to bring a packed lunch and drinks. Water is available throughout the venue and tea and coffee are available in Meeting Room 3 (Teachers' Lounge).
