NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

NOTICE is hereby given that the 63rd Annual General Meeting of the Automobile Association of Northern Territory Inc. will be held at the Darwin Innovation Hub on Wednesday, 25 November 2026 at 5:30pm.

Business:

  1. To receive disclosure of any Interest by a Director;
  2. To confirm the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on 26 November 2025;
  3. To elect Directors in accordance with clause 8 of the AANT Constitution;
  4. To receive and consider the Annual Report, the Audited Financial Statements and the Auditor’s Report for the year ended 30 June 2026;
  5. To appoint an auditor of the Association; and
  6. To deal with any other business requiring consideration by the Association in a General Meeting.
     

Financial Reports 

In accordance with the Associations Act 2003 (NT), the audited financial statements of AANT Inc. for the year ended 30 June 2026 will be available for inspection by Members from 4 November 2026. They will be available on the AANT website, at the AANT office (2/14 Knuckey Street, Darwin), or by email request to info@aant.com.au. The AANT Constitution is available on the AANT website. 

 

Election to the Board

To be eligible for election, a Member must lodge a written nomination, on the form approved by the Board, with the Public Officer by 5:00pm on Tuesday, 4 November 2026. The nomination must: 

  • be signed by the nominee;
  • be signed by a nominator and a seconder, both of whom must be current Directors; and
  • include the information and declarations required by the form, including any conflict of interest.

Nominees must be Members aged 18 or over, must not be AANT employees, and must otherwise be eligible under the AANT Constitution. To request a nomination form, email ceo@aant.com.au. Members may inquire with the CEO or President about the nominations received during the 21 days before the meeting.

 

Voting and Proxies

Subject to the AANT Constitution, every Member has one (1) vote. If you cannot attend, you may appoint in writing a natural person who is also a Member as your proxy. You can use any form of writing or the AANT proxy form, available by emailing ceo@aant.com.au. Completed proxy forms must be received by 5:00pm Monday 24 November 2026.
