Level of cover and events covered
AANT Insurance provides a list of events covered and level of cover provided (up to the the Sum Insured that you set) to rebuild your home when there is a total loss of your home as a result of significant insurance event such as cyclone.
The policy has restrictions that limit your cover for certain events and items e.g. unfixed building materials intended for repairs, alterations or additions to your home are covered for a maximum $2000.
If you make a claim, the excess is the amount you have to pay for each incident. You may be able to increase the excess to lower your premium.
The policy covers you for damage or personal injury to a third party or their property to a limit of $30million.
Cooling off period
The cooling off period for this policy is 21 days from issue.
Level of cover
There are a few options for you level of cover including
- Sum insured – you set the level of cover
- Sum insured plus safety net – you set the level of cover and the insurer may provide you with agreed extra cover
- Total replacement – the insurer will cover all reasonable costs to rebuild your home.
Remember, failure to adequately insure your home may result in underinsurance.
