The AANT Council has a leadership role in the corporate governance of AANT to ensure the protection of all members and stakeholders. The Council, as the members’ representative, is accountable to the members of the AANT for the governance and performance of the organisation.
The Council is responsible for establishing the AANT’s long term strategic direction, approving and monitoring business performance against corporate budgets and plans, service standards and policy, and ensuring the AANT acts lawfully and responsibly.
