AANT is seeking volunteers

AANT is offering volunteers the chance to help make a difference to the lives of Indigenous Territorians whilst providing a unique opportunity to experience the lives, art and culture of the Anindilyakwa people. You will be assisting DriveSafe NT Remote programme participants from the Angurugu and Umbakumba communities on Groote Eylandt to gain sufficient driving experience to become fully licensed drivers.

2012 Auto Club Golf Challenge Winners

The AANT would like to congratulate Gowan Bush and Cheryl Stevens in being selected to represent the AANT in the Auto Club Golf Challenge 2012. Held in conjunction with the RACV Ladies Masters both will accompany the Association President to compete against the other Australian Auto Clubs in a Texas Scramble Championship and Pro-Am Ambrose. Congratulations to both of our winners!

AANT Council farewells John Mitchell, who after four years with the Association has decided to relinquish his position on the Council. John served as member of Council since June 2007 and has recently taken up the position of General Manager NTRL. The Council would like to thank John for his contribution to the Association and wish him success in his new role.

AANT Council farewells Barry Thomas, who after seven years with the Association has decided to relinquish his position on the Council. Barry, a consultant with Deloitte Touche Tomatsu, is leaving full time employment to spend more time with his family and on travel. He served as member of Council since September 2004 and brought to the Council a practical perspective on the vagaries of a small business and ideas to overcome them.
Life Membership Awarded

AANT (in it's 48 years of existence) has conferred a life membership on Neil Plumb, Capt Tom Millner, Ray Grimshaw and Eddie & Greta Quong for their long and outstanding contributions to the association. The AANT Council has recently conferred life membership on Brian Measey. As a councillor for 14 years he has made an outstanding contribution to the association, which has been acknowledged by his colleagues.

AANT Council farewells, Helen Galton who after six and a half years with the Association has decided to relinquish her position on the Council. Helen served as member of Council since December 2004 and has acted as Vice President for 3 years from December 07 till December 10. Her experience, warmth and sincerity will be sadly missed.
